Sylvia Gould, 89, formerly of Lake Worth, FL, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2022 in Ewing, NJ. She was born on April 6 1933 in Bayonne, NJ, the third child of Louis and Rebecca Diamond Cohen.
Sylvia met the love of her life, Harold Gould, on a blind date and they wed in August of 1951 in Trenton, NJ. Together they had three children, Bonnie Cohen of Rutland, VT, Barry Gould and wife Cindy of Langhorne, PA, and Brian Gould and wife Susan of Monroe Township, NJ.
Sylvia enjoyed being a homemaker; when her children were older, she embarked on a banking career. She was a personal banker in Trenton until her retirement, at which time she and Harry relocated to Florida. Sylvia loved traveling with life long friends, modeling in fashion shows, dancing, and volunteering with various charitable organizations. She enjoyed entertaining guests; where she proudly showcased her beautiful home and culinary delights.
She is survived by her three children, six beloved grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Sylvia is pre-deceased by her loving husband, Harry, and her three siblings, Roslyn Cherowitz, Charles Cohen, and Carol Sarnoff.
Her funeral service will be held on November 17, 2022 at 11:00 at the Beth Israel Memorial Chapel in Boynton Beach, FL, followed by internment at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens.
