John Rooney

John A. Rooney, 67 passed away on Sunday December 24, 2023 from complications of pneumonia.

John graduated from Ewing High School and resided in Mercer County throughout his life.

He made a living through his talents as a carpenter. 

John was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and enjoyed fishing, reading, music, trivia, politics, and competition.

He was a member of the Trenton Polish American Democratic Club.

John is predeceased by his parents John and Mary Rooney and survived by his son John M. Rooney and his loving family; sisters LuAnne Rooney, Patricia Brothers, Mary Christine Rooney (Jack Bally), nieces Sara Jane and Lauren (Brian), nephews Daniel and Henry, and great niece and nephew Evelina and Max.

John was also blessed with loyal friends; Norman, John (Cricket), Joey and many others.

A celebration of life will be held at American Legion Post 414 on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 1:00 to 3:30 pm.
