Edwina Fittery

Bensalem, Pa.-- Edwina Fittery (nee Thomas), born August 22, 1941, 81 years old, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side.  She was born in Philadelphia, to Edward and Emma Thomas where she was raised in South Philadelphia.  She married the love of her life, Eugene C. Fittery on October 12, 1963.  She is survived by her three wonderful children, Eugene C. Fittery III (Renee Fittery), Rosalie Fittery (Timothy Browne) and Bernadette Morris (John C. Morris Jr); her three favorite grandchildren Ariel Pease (Curtis Pease), Geno and Ava. She was also a very proud great grandmother to her first great grandchild, Isla Grace. She was preceded in death by her sister Margaret H Mercante and is survived by her brother in law Mark Fittery (Eileen Fittery) and brother in law Phillip Mercante.

She was loved by so many. Her infectious laugh and larger than life personality would leave everyone smiling. When you met her, you instantly fell in love with her.  She loved her family fiercely and gave her children an amazing childhood and was always there for them when she was needed. 

Please join her family to celebrate her life, on Saturday August 5, 2023 at St. Ephrem’s Roman Catholic Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.  Visitation from 10-11am with mass at 11am.  Internment, Resurrection Cemetery 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020
